About the role   

Drive the daily operations of Aussie Horizon Ventures as our next ambitious General Manager. Reporting to the CEO on a full-time contract, this opportunity can reside in either Melbourne or Sydney, close to our key client-base. We are an innovative, unique company that teaches computer programming. Duties and responsibilities include:  

  • Oversee the development of organizational structure for a 60-member team, focusing on recruitment and contractor development to meet company needs

  • Innovate marketing strategies to expand brand visibility across educational sectors, including schools, parents, childcare centres, and universities

  • Forge strategic partnerships to bolster Aussie Horizon Ventures' market position and drive business growth

  • Lead sales initiatives and forecast future performance, leveraging insights for informed decision-making

  • Optimize sales processes and CRM utilization while spearheading new marketing methods to enhance brand presence and engagement.

Experience and qualifications    

  • Proven experience managing a team of 40 – 80 employees

  • Expertise in strategic thinking, translating vision into concrete action plans encompassing internal and external factors, resource allocation, goal setting, and progress evaluation

  • Experience improving efficiency and increasing departmental profits while managing the company's overall operations

  • Proven ability to assess & manage resources efficiently – particularly budgets and small business challenges

  • Experienced in business management leadership, with a proven ability to motivate teams & build strong interpersonal connections
