About the role   

Take your next step in your career as our next Principal Electrical Engineer within our Electrical Engineering team of 30. Reporting to our Chief Engineer, this full-time role plays a key role in leading the electrical design from concept to execution. Duties & responsibilities include:   

  • Oversee the production of design deliverables including engineering models, calculations, drawings, designs, and specifications

  • Monitor, review, and drive critical project activities to ensure the safe completion of allocated engineering tasks

  • Organise and coordinate assignments within agreed budget and schedule

  • Prepare technical specifications, scope of works or scope of supply and associated project documentation

  • Provide technical support to the site installation & commissioning teams

Experience and qualifications    

  • Proven working experience in one or more of these areas: modelling and designing power systems, renewable energy, distributing power, designing hazardous areas, and low-voltage (LV) and high-voltage (HV) design.

  • Expertise in Australian standards & legislative requirements to provide technical support to designers and interface with engineers across multiple disciplines

  • Proven track record of successfully handling medium to large-scale projects valued between $200,000 to $1,000,000

  • Shown ability to work to strict deadlines, prioritise between multiple complex tasks, and work independently

  • Preference to applicants seeking CPEng accreditation as part of professional development
