He acts for employers in all Australiian jurisdictions and across a wide range of industries, including banking, telecommunications, manufacturing, electrical power generation and professional services. Tony advises clients on industrial strategies and disputes, equal employment opportunity, bullying, termination of employment, enterprise bargaining, transmission of business/privatisation and whistle-blower issues. He also advises on employment contracts and the array of employment aspects associated with mergers and acquisitions. Aside from his interest in enterprise bargaining and workplace reform, Tony is the lead partner of the employment group’s training programs for clients. He regularly appears as an advocate in courts and employment tribunals, and is a regular presenter on employment and industrial matters throughout Australia. His opinions on legislation and case law are frequently published in Australia’s business media. Tony is a member of the Industrial Relations Society of Victoria and the Australian Human Resources Institute.
